SPECIAL PURPOSE VEHICLE [SPV]

The SPV was formed in the name of Orange City Garment Cluster as a private limited company on 15 Oct 2010 under companies act. A Common Facility Centre [CFC] was proposed in the DSR submitted to MSME, New Delhi. Steering committee meeting was held on 06/09/2011 and Administrative approval for setting up of CFC received on 14/03/2012. Land purchased & registered in the name of SPV. Construction of CFC building is in progress.


ACTIVITIES OF THE PROPOSED CFC
Establishment of a CFC with equipment to facilitate:

Such a common facility will not only supplement, but complement activities of firms in cluster as no similar facilities are available in the region.


CURRENT STATUS OF CFC
Construction of CFC building has started. 60% building completed Obtained consent to establish from MPCB Second phase of tender process for procurement of machineries is in progress.


LATEST NEWS
Participation of the SPV in the international cluster summit held in World Trade Centre, Mumbai on 23rd sept to 25th sept 2013.
Participation of the SPV in international fair held in Dubai from 1st oct to 3rd oct 2013.


VISION OF THE CLUSTER
A model project demonstrating sustainable options for skill-upgrading and value-addition in Nagpur garment cluster, upgrading technology in micro enterprises even while improving income accruals to thousands of garment workers.
